If you notice an extra charge (usually a few euros) alongside your Balance top-up, this is a fee applied by your bank for managing the Direct Debit (SDD) service and is not a cost from Satispay.
Satispay does not apply fees to top up your Availability. You can view all our service costs by clicking 👉 here.
How can I reduce or eliminate these bank fees?
Since these fees are applied to every single bank transaction, the best strategy is to reduce the number of top-ups performed. Here are three practical solutions:
đź’° Change the minimum threshold
Instead of topping up the same amount every week, you can set a minimum threshold. This way, the top-up will only trigger if your Balance falls below the chosen limit.
Example: If you set a weekly Budget of €200 and a minimum threshold of €150, the top-up will only occur on Monday if your Balance is below €50. If you still have €60, the top-up won't trigger, saving you the bank fee.
📆 Set a monthly top-up
By switching from weekly to monthly frequency, you will drastically reduce the number of charges on your bank account and, therefore, the related fees.
Open the App and go to Home > Balance > Budget rules > Frequency, select monthly and choose your preferred day of the month.
🏦 Top up via bank transfer
Many banks offer free transfers or lower costs compared to direct debits. You can top up your Satispay account via manual credit transfer or by setting up a recurring transfer from your Home Banking.
To find the details, go to Home > Balance > Add + > Change > Manual transfer. Then copy the IBAN and necessary info to send the transfer!
