Stocks and ETFs
If you see this transaction after buying or selling stocks or ETFs, it's an automatic operation that serves to align your account balance with the actual price at which your stocks or ETFs were bought or sold.
Why is it applied?
All orders are executed as market orders, meaning at the best price available on the market at the moment you submit the order. Because the prices shown in the app may be slightly delayed compared to the actual market, the adjustment transaction reconciles the difference (positive or negative) between the price shown in the App when you submit the order and the (market) price actually applied when the order is technically executed.
A practical example:
You buy a stock that you see priced at €100:
- If the price applied when the order is executed changes compared to the one shown in the App, and the order is executed when the stock is at €101: you'll see an adjustment transaction of -€1.
- If the price applied when the order is executed changes compared to the one shown in the App, and the order is executed when the stock is at €99: you'll see an adjustment transaction of +€1.
💡 Important: This is not a fee or a hidden cost, but simply an accounting balancing entry so that you pay or receive the exact real value of your investment.
Invested Moneybox and Satispay Funds
If you only see the name of the Satispay Fund or the Invested Moneybox in the details of the adjustment transaction, this is the final adjustment operation that takes place right after a withdrawal from Satispay Funds or the Invested Moneybox is confirmed.
Once the withdrawal is confirmed, you'll see the adjustment transaction in your transaction list. This serves to:
- withdraw from your Balance the amount of any taxes due on the sale of the fund units;
- update your final Balance to reflect any changes in the fund's NAV.
Stamp Duty
If you see the wording Stamp Duty in the transaction details, this is a tax required by current regulations that applies to financial products, and therefore also to investments on Satispay. It is currently equal to 0.20% per year and is calculated on the value of your investment. The exact amount you'll pay depends on how long you keep the investment active during the year, thanks to the proportional (pro-rata) calculation carried out at the end of each calendar year. The good news is that you don't have to worry about calculations or payments for the Invested Moneybox or Satispay Funds: we take care of everything!
The amount due is automatically withdrawn from your Satispay Balance once a year, with reference to the previous year. Just make sure you have sufficient funds in your Balance during that period.
