Phishing
Scams in which attackers pose as trusted entities, such as banks, online services, or Satispay to try to steal personal information, such as PINs, credit card numbers, or sensitive data. These fraudsters send misleading messages via email or other platforms, trying to trick you into clicking on fake links or providing private information.
We advise you never to reply to suspicious messages and always check the authenticity of the source.
Smishing
Scam similar to phishing, but in this case the fraudsters send misleading messages via SMS, trying to trick you into clicking on fake links or revealing sensitive information, such as PIN or credit card numbers. Often these messages appear to come from trusted sources, but are actually fraud attempts.
We advise you never to reply to suspicious SMS messages and always check the source of the message before providing any information.
Phone scam / Vishing
Phone scams in which criminals pose as trusted entities such as banks, online services, or Satispay operators to obtain information about your account, such as PINs, verification codes, selfies or video selfies, or to ask you to send money or make payments at your expense.
Today's technology makes it possible to ‘clone’ even the biggest company numbers. Always pay attention not only to the number calling you, but also to what you are told or asked.
Scams on social media
Fake ads or profiles promising easy earnings or unmissable offers through Satispay, but which are actually scams.
Remember, if it seems too good to be true... it's usually not true!
Blocked payment scam
Phone scams in which criminals contact you, on Whatsapp as well, pretending that one of your payments (to Satispay or other accounts) has been blocked. To unblock it, the criminals might ask you to make transactions, top up your Satispay account or share your QR code or other data.
